Chemotherapy drug is a medicine (drug) used to kill cancer cells. Sometimes there are chances for some side effects as the drug also damages the healthy cells. Different varieties of drugs are available in the market for the disease, they differ in action and taken in different manner. Chemotherapy treatment uses either one or combinations of drugs are used. Moreover there are various types of cancers which require different type drugs at different stages and are taken through various ways in fact there tested in clinical trails before they are given for consumption. This therapy is the process in which in combination of Chemical and pharmaceutical are utilized for the treatment. So depending upon the stages and types of the cancer there are some types chemotherapy discussed below:

Plant alkaloids

These are prepared from certain type of herbs and shrubs found in nature. Some plant alkaloids are named as taxanes, vinca, docetaxel, paclitaxel etc. are used for the treatment of cancer cells.

Alkylating agents

In the inactive phase of the cell alkylating agents are the most active one. These cells directly destroy DNA and stop the multiplications of such cells. Its become necessary to destroy the various kind of cancers. Some of the alkylatins agents are used as chemotherapy treatments are alkylsulfonates: busulfan, metal salts: cispaltin, carboplatin, oxaliplatin, and many more.

Anti-tumor antibiotics

They are the natural products produced by the soil fungus streptomycin. These cells work during the multiple phase of cell cycle. Few are some of the anti-tumor antibiotics like plicamycin, mitomycin, dactinomycin etc.

Anthracyclines

 These cells interfere with the enzymes that interfere that are important for the reproduction of DNA. These are cell cycle non particular and anti tumor antibiotic are utilized to for curing different kinds of cancer. Bleomycin, mitomycin, and doxorubicin drugs are few examples of this type chemotherapy.

Topoisomerase inhibitors

Its enzymes also play a significant role in controlling the exploitation of DNA structure which is essential in the replication during chemotherapy treatment. Ironotecan, topotecan, etoposide phosphate and teniposide are some of the few examples but are taken during different inhibitors
